Team & subaccounts

Teammates and roles

Invite people under Team in the dashboard. Each member has a role:

RoleCan
ownerEverything, including managing other owners
adminEverything except adding, removing or changing owners
viewerLook at everything, change nothing

An account always keeps at least one owner. New teammates get a temporary password; they should change it under Settings after their first login. One person can belong to several accounts and switch between them from the account menu.

Through the API (with a session or a full-access key):

curl https://api.jumploon.com/v3/teammates \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $JUMPLOON_API_KEY" -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{ "email": "grace@acme.com", "name": "Grace", "role": "admin" }'

PATCH /v3/teammates/:userId changes a role, and DELETE /v3/teammates/:userId removes a member.

Subaccounts

A subaccount is a separate account under yours, with its own domains, API keys, templates, contacts, suppressions, quota and reporting. Use subaccounts to:

  • Keep each client's sending separate, if you're an agency or platform.
  • Isolate a product or a marketing stream so its reputation and limits don't affect your transactional mail.

Create subaccounts in the dashboard under Subaccounts, signed in as an owner or admin. You can rename them, set a daily quota, and suspend or reactivate them. A subaccount can't have subaccounts of its own. Mail sent by subaccounts also counts toward the parent account's daily quota.

GET /v3/subaccounts lists your subaccounts with their usage.
